Without these requirements, you are most likely going to die. Since they can 't afford to buy shelter or food they are forced to live on the streets which is far from safe. They are likely to develop diseases and become malnourished.

Poverty has a significant impact on children. The majority of poor children grow up with serious health issues that continue to occur. Babies born into poverty are more likely to have a low birth weight, which can cause both physical and mental difficulties. Poverty-stricken children are more likely to be ill and miss school, and their households are more likely to be stressful. Children are more affected by homelessness than adults because they frequently lack access to health care and adequate food, resulting in health problems.

Effects of Poverty

Poverty affects the life of a poor family. A poor person is not able to take proper food & nutrition & his capacity to work reduces. Reduced capacity to work further reduces his income, making him poorer. Children from poor families never get proper schooling & proper nutrition. They have to work to support their family & this destroys their childhood. Some of them may also be involved in crimes like theft, murder, robbery, etc. A poor person remains uneducated & is forced to live under unhygienic conditions in slums. There is no proper sanitation & drinking water facility in slums & he falls ill often &  his health deteriorates. A poor person generally dies an early death. So, all social evils are related to poverty.
